Marne J. Apolo, M.A. RYT
Marne's inspiration for learning and healing through yoga began with her first yoga class with Yolanda Bain in 1996, in San Francisco, CA. With a Master's degree in Communication from Western Michigan University (2008) and an intensive 200 hour RYT training with Karina Ayn Mirsky at Sangha Yoga (2010), Marne strives to cultivate creative ways to integrate communication studies with yoga philosophy and practice. She holds a second degree certification in Reiki and is a certified Relax and Renew Trainer (Restorative Yoga w/Judith Hanson Lasater). Christine Peckels, RYT
Christine has been a practitioner of yoga since 1999. With the encouragement of her teachers, she completed her 200 hour RYT teacher training in 2008 under the guidance of Melissa Spamer, E-RYT 500, LMT and Founder/Director of “Lotus in the Flame” School of Yoga and Healing Arts. From 2008 to 2013 Christine volunteered at Western Michigan University School of Medicine at the Charles VanRipen Unified Clinics to work with stroke patients and their caregivers. Her yoga classes offer a gentle yet powerful insight into the infinite nuances of the body, mind and breath with opportunities to explore and link these qualities within. James Terburg, CIYT
James is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT) at the Intoductory-II level. Teachers in this method are certified through an internationally standardized body, and overseen by the Iyengar Yoga National Association of the United States (www.iynaus.org). Becoming and remaining certified is a long and extensive process requiring a lifelong commitment to study and practice. (www.iynaus.org/teach/). James studied the art of teaching at the Iyengar Yoga Institute of San Francisco and continues training regularly under senior CIYTs in San Francisco and Ann Arbor. |

Cathryn Bastien, RYT 500
Cathryn was drawn to the healing and restorative effects of yoga practice after undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments for cancer in 1995. In 2002, she began a journey to gain more knowledge and completed certification as RYT200 instructor in 2004, through Feel Your Best Yoga. She continuing her yoga education through practice and focused instruction with Integrative Yoga Therapy and became RYT500 certified in 2012. An additional 500 hours of mentored study with Integrative Yoga Therapy was also completed incorporating a special focus on the healing and restorative effects for cancer patients and caregivers. She is married to Kipp and is mother of 3 adult children. She enjoys biking, cross-country skiing, volunteering at her church, gardening, sewing and cooking. Cathryn credits yoga with keeping her balanced and able to maintain the busy schedule of a full-time career, as well as the activities listed above. 269-290-4166 |
